It is a nice thing but for example that the sequel is not available for some films or that the series are unfortunately taken down again bothers me.

Every month new content and sequels come, never had problems with the payment, above average offer of films and series.
So you want Netflix to keep everything? Buying a license is only valid for a certain time.
You pay 20,000 for 2 years as an example (price and year only one example). Then you have to pay 20,000 again for another 2 years or take down the film or series again.
Do this for every production and at the same time offer new productions.

Licenses expire everywhere. On TV (where you can no longer broadcast the series) or on DVD and Bluray (where you can't press and sell new DVDs) and the same with streaming.
Every streaming service that buys licenses (including Amazon) has that.
A service that only offers originals, of course they don't have something like that, because they don't have to buy any licenses, is theirs.
