I can't give you a percentage.
Two points certainly play a big role in the creation of the series: On the one hand, Escobar's Vita is the basis, which certainly holds enough material for such a series. On the other hand, it is the build-up of certain sensations that such a series must hold to captivate the viewer - and these sensations are mostly out of context or artificially blown up.
Nevertheless, I think (I do not know, I write explicitly!) That the content on the whole correspond to reality, especially since a part of the story also occupied by contemporary witnesses and these were partially integrated into the storyboard.
One thing I can say for sure: You will NEVER see something on TV that is 100% true. Most are things that would be too boring or lengthy for the average consumer in the form of a series - and that sells nausea bad.
