Does an Amazon Tv Stick need a subscription?

I would like to watch netflix on my tv However, it is not a Smart TV, so I need access to the Internet.

I thought of an Amazon tv stick, but I don't have an Amazon subscription and don't want one. Does it work without it?

Or do you have other ideas and possibilities?

You need an Amazon account, even if you only want to download third-party apps (e.g. Netflix). A subscription (you probably mean Prime) is not necessary.

All you need is an Amazon account. If you can order from Amazon, you can also use the Fire Stick. A subscription is not necessary.
