Why does Amazon offer a Netflix App for Amazon Fire TV stick? Would it be better for them, if all who own TV Stick would watch in prime films?
Why should one close oneself to something like that? A Fire TV only makes sense with a Prime subscription. Can they still be Wayne, what people look in addition. After all, Prime Video is not profit-oriented but intended for customer loyalty. So it tends to be even better to give people as much freedom as possible.
But there are not all Netflix movies / series on Amazon Prime Video.
If Amazon did that, the Netflix users would simply switch to another TV stick that could be used to watch Netflix. So you better let the competition run an app on your own stick, so you at least earn money over the course of the TV sticks.
Google also allows Netflix and Amazon Prime Video to be viewed on Android devices and does not require that you use Google Play Movies & TV. Is the same.
More sales, more sales.
I sent my Echo Dot back because the thing still does not work 'free hand' with Netflix. My money does not get Amazon for that.
For the stick already.
