Why is my Netflix res so bad?

When I look at my PC Netflix everything is played in an estimated 480p, it really excites me because I:

Netflix premium have
8k GPU and 4k monitor
sufficient internet connection to even watch 8k smoothly
even selected the best possible in the settings

so why the hell is that with me, how can I watch UHD?

oc

Do you look in the browser? If yes, which?

What CPU? Which OS?

Sp

The fact that netflix puts the quality down is actually a sign that your internet is not fast enough.

It is possible that a Wi-Fi connection to your device is not stable. After all, at 4k a constant speed of 3 MB / s is required… (in download)

I have VDSL 300k, but if the line spins again for me, it also lowers the quality for me… (watch hd)

Ryzen 7 2700x

Internet connection is very stable (via LAN)

and I can watch at least 4k, sometimes even 8k (if there's content for it).

Yes is chrome, what does os mean?

we

OS = Operation system = Operating system. Probably Windows 10 on you

Sp

If you use a browser like Chrome or Firefox, then download the netflix app and try it.

For Pc's there are also.

Pl

The app works in 4k, but there's no sound.

Look best via Microsoft Edge, Netflix, since Chrome is not so suitable for this.

If the quality is still low, click on the profile picture at the top right then 'Account'> 'Playback Settings'> and then select the highest setting.

Of course, it could also be due to your internet. It may not be as fast as it seems.

I have heard of it myself, this can usually be fixed in the settings.

Here is a page that offers some solutions: https://help.netflix.com/.../node/1887

Chrome won't do that - 4K only works on Windows 10, Edge Browser with certain combos of i7 CPU and Nvidia:

Of course, much less stress is simply to take a FireTV 4k stick.
