Netflix shows offer from other country, legal?

Three of my friends and I share Netflix, one of us bought it. But this person lives in Bulgaria and now we all have the Bulgarian Netflix service, although we do not use a Vpn.

We don't think it's bad, only there's e.g. Series that don't exist here and we don't now know how it is legally?

In fact, he shouldn't be sharing the account with you. He can only share this in the same household. That being said, it depends on where the person is who pays. You can only see the things there.

He now lives in Bulgaria, we in Germany. We just don't want to get a letter home at the end when we watch films and series

If anything, only he gets a letter. If Netflix finds out, then the friend will be asked to deny you access. If he does not do this, Netflix will then block his access. Not because of the content that is viewed, but because it is only allowed to share with the same household.

I'm amazed that Netflix even knows that Bulgaria exists… Do they have a better range of films there than in Germany?

to

Wouldn't it be the first time that e.g. A perfectly normal family also has two different places of residence in two countries and still represents a common household… They can hardly prove that this is not the case.

You could also be a perfectly normal flat share where the account holder went to see his relatives because of Corona.

Ar

It's not "legal"… Not that you watch the series that are unlocked for another country (that's a problem for Netflix, not for you), but that you share access which contradicts the terms of use. Buy your own subscription.
