Have two questions:
1) If I get advertising / marketing emails from Amazon or Netflix - both sites I use (!) - then I better not (!) Mark them as junk, even if they annoy me, because the algorithm is otherwise also used for emails from Amazon / Netflix, which are important (e.g. A bill) thinks that is junk. Ie then either mark them as a rule (if they come from a different amazon email address than the amazon bills; as an example) or simply mark them in the trash instead of as junk. Do I understand it right?
2) The same should also apply to emails from an address that is annoying at the moment, but that you may need again in the future, right? So, for example, I'm afraid that if I throw all the emails from the university's international office into the junk folder, which is also suitable for most of their emails, then if I apply for funding for a stay abroad again, I will receive theirs Missed an important email and wonder why I didn't get it - and long ago forgot that I always threw it all in the junk folder.
Or how do you do that?
LG Chris
PS: I use Outlook.
I pay invoices of this type by direct debit or standing order. So I don't need to be informed that it's that time again.
If you expect something important from other addressees / senders, you can delete them from the junk folder.
