Employers using PCs privately at home?

I started working for a company this week and was immediately equipped for the home office. Now the question arises to me whether it is okay to use this computer at home, outside of working hours, also for private purposes (Netflix, YouTube, etc). And can my employer even see what I'm doing with the computer if I use it on my WLAN and not on the company Internet?

You should clarify with your employer beforehand whether you are allowed to do this or not.

You either have to read this in the employment contract or ask the employer.
