I want to put a TV in the bedroom in my new apartment. Cable box and thus also internet are in the living room.
I can extend the Internet for the television with WLAN via the power cable.
But I don't know whether there's also a good solution for live TV (antenna) cable. I myself have only watched Netflix for years, but my girlfriend can't do without 😄. There's probably a method, but I'm not in it anymore. I don't feel like paying for an app like Magenta as well.
Shouldn't be a problem, buy coaxial cable in the desired length and connect it to the main socket with a 2-way distributor!
The bedroom is completely elsewhere in the apartment
A T-piece (distributor) or have the technician put another socket on the antenna socket…
I myself have one of these antenna extension cables in my bedroom. We just had one lying around from the last apartment, but they are not expensive.
It was just stupidly a lot of work to bring this cable from the living room to the bedroom, let alone make it look nice (has to go through somewhere under the door).
If you have fairly snug doors with little room under the door, it will be difficult to do so without drilling a hole in the wall (as far as the homeowner allows).
I couldn't think of anything more than the Magenta TV-Box if the above didn't work.
Then you just drill through the walls into the bedroom!
The simplest variant would be to plug a T-piece into the socket in the living room and then plug in an antenna cable, the other end of which leads into the bedroom.
But you can also connect another cable to the socket in the living room (if an end socket), the end of which is then inserted into an antenna socket in the bedroom.
if two cables are connected to the socket in the living room, a distributor may have to be used.
For the do-it-yourself, however, I recommend simply plugging the T-piece into the existing antenna socket.
either you make the hole large enough for a ready-made antenna cable Ø 14 mm is usually sufficient here. Or you can assemble it yourself.
These plugs or the matching coupling are ideal for this:

Yes, the only problem is, you would have to lay a cable through 3 rooms, which I just wanted to avoid. But doesn't seem to give anything
Is possible, but with an effort that is not necessarily in proportion to the benefit.
you would have to bring the signal into the network, and then pick it up again from the network. Some smart tvs can do that, but those who can't do that need a corresponding box or something.
wired internet routers like the fritzbox 6490, as far as I know, this does not work with the original unitymedia fritzbox (the function is deactivated there) have the option of streaming cable television into the network.
On the other hand, you need an android tv box, for example, so that you can receive network television.
then add the DLAN adapter and then it is not 100% guaranteed that it will work, because depending on how your power grid is set up, it can cause problems.
the bottom line is, in my opinion, it is really the cheapest and easiest way to lay the cable. It is a bit of work, but it literally works simply.
I did not know that. I've already done the Dlan, it sounds worth a try
