Which configuration would you tend to prefer? (Please justify)

Play from time to time CS, Assassin's Creed, Fifa and Auto-Werkstatt Simulator and co, otherwise photo editing Adobe CS6 while running on the 2nd monitor Netflix. Have only 2x 60 Hz Full HD monitors, so the question of the GPU is unnecessary.

So you want to know whether 3600 or 2700x? 3600 is single core stronger, 2700x is suitable for parallel working due to more cores and threads - for example gaming and streaming. If you only want to gamble, use the 3600, if you also want to work or stream then the 2700x.

Ra

So work in the sense of really complex. Video rendering etc, I would use the 3600 for your needs.

Br

I agree with ERdOwoERdoWiE's answer. Here is singlcore against multicore. I would choose multicore in the form of the 2700x because I have many programs running at the same time. But for the last frame at e.g. Fortnite the 3600 is the better CPU.

If you stream, you are Messi and never close your programs or encode a video, then the 2700x wins. If you are the hardcore gambler, then the 3600 is in front. Answer the question who you are from both and you know which computer you should buy.

Br

Hehe, same basis, I would tend to 2700x in its place.

Cl

Two questions.

I read that the cooler of the 2700X is long and quiet. The 3600 is not supposed to be as good and, above all, loud, which is why the additional cooler. Can you confirm this or can I use the supplied one in the box with the R5?
Is it true that I should cool the M2 SSD listed here or rather all M.2 SSD? Then why is it not actually installed from house one? Or is this just money making?

For gaming / editing photos and Netflix on the side? I think the 6 cores from the 3600 are completely sufficient or even better because they are stronger.

If of course he wants to do more or more complex things in parallel, things are getting tight.

ly

The 3600 is also absolutely sufficient.

Br

Yes, the cooler of the 2700x is better. However, the 2700x also has a 40 watt higher TDP. Which diminishes a bit of a temperature advantage again. In my opinion, the Wraith makes terrible noises.
No, I don't think NVMe SSDs need to be cooled yet. But the path seems to be going there. I don't see any need for Gen3 yet.

Ra

I have the 2700X myself and the boxed cooler is actually sufficient (and nice). I don't know the boxed cooler of the 3600, but they are designed to cool the thing reasonably well, so you can try it out and order one if necessary.

I think nothing of it, you have to put extreme strain on the M2 over a longer period of time, which is almost never the case, I assume. But also here, if you notice your load is regularly very high, you can buy such a cooler, it can't hurt but it is not necessary, I assume.

Br

For me, the use of the 2nd screen was crucial. And 6 cores can now use games efficiently. But it may be that I project parts of my own usage profile into it.

Ma

The M.2 SSD and the chosen custom design is quite expensive.

You can do both from the rest.

The cooler would be more than sufficient for the 3600:

https://www.mindfactory.de/...33900.html

(You can also take an even cheaper one)

Ma

Sinda but 12 threads, hardly uses a game fully.

Cl

How expensive? How would you have put it together?

Co

The r5 3600 is a good 10% faster in games.

Better than RAM: https://www.mindfactory.de/...94176.html

Have Micron E-Dies and are easily overclockable on 3600CL16.

Does the Silicon Power have a DRAM cache? Don't think so, because that's why I would take the Crucial MX500, it's pretty much the same price anyway, but technically a little better.

Otherwise it looks good

Cl

Thanks a lot!

Is the cooler of the 36K long enough and is it loud or would you rather change it? Many say yes and I don't hear others. Don't want OC, especially since this is also the 36K and not the X.

Cl

Next question: "Have Micron E-Dies and can easily be overclocked to 3600CL16" Huh? ^^ In German. What is the difference? How do I overclock RAMs? Does this borrow a lot?

Cl

Do not see any difference, you probably? https://geizhals.de/...5&active=2 you.

Cl

https://geizhals.de/...7&active=2 not, either, I'm probably too stupid or blind ^^

Cl

On this page, the 36K is better in all points except for the workstation. And this (!) Despite 2 cores less. Well, he's Zen2 too

Ma

In relation to alternatives.

Ma
Cl

Hm supposed to be very loud and the MSI would be the better choice here?! Qualitative fans and co. Worse than the MSI?!

Ma

The GTX 1660 Super is not a particular power guzzler, so almost all 2 fan models should be almost inaudible.

Co

The Boxed cools it without problems, but can get a little louder.
Ram OC gives you significantly more performance than OC of the CPU:

https://www.computerbase.de/2019-08/ram-oc-amd-ryzen-3000-test/2/#abschnitt_benchmarks_der_xmpprofile_ohne_ifoc

A DRAM cache for SSDs ensures consistently high performance and a longer service life
