I want to download forrest gump to later look offline but can't find the download function anywhere

This is only in the Netflix app (for iOS and Android, I'm not sure on WIndows), and synonymous only for certain films and series, which are unlocked by Netflix for (Forest Gump is one).
This is not possible on the Netflix website, as the downloads can't be saved DRM-protected there.

You click in the app on the desired movie, then the description appears and under the description appears on the right of the button to download.
