I doubt whether I will still watch it, because you already have various streaming subscriptions such as Netflix, Amazon, Spotify. At some point it's over and I don't see the point of subscribing to an overpriced TV station for only 20 races a year, which will certainly cost me at least 15 euro per month and where 2/3 of this package, which you then have to buy, won't interested.
Anyway, I assume that Formula 1 will change massively or maybe even disappear entirely! The change discussions or even the debates about a complete cessation of the series are too big.
We won't have any German drivers from next year if Vettel doesn't get a cockpit after all, but that looks bleak too. So there's no longer any reason for Germans to watch it, you somehow need an idol of such sports. And the German market has always been one of the most important in Formula 1. I do not think that another Free TV broadcaster wants to raise the necessary sums for the rights. Only Pro7-Sat1 group or the public law remains. Pro7-Sat1 themselves have enough problems to successfully master the current change in the classic TV landscape. And the ÖR, so I can't imagine that ARD / ZDF Formula 1 shopping… That does not fit in their concept, nor are the sums for it. And they have never been very interested in motorsport, in the Tagesschau it is a very short contribution to a race, sometimes even as a short message. Only during Vettel and Schumi times were you able to send longer contributions.
