265 GB or 512 GB with the Mac Book Air?

I would like to buy the new Mac Book Air, but I don't know how many GB. I have my iPhone, 200 GB of iCloud storage, and a 1 TB hard drive. I'll get an iPad for my studies next year. So I don't know whether 256 GB is enough for files for my studies and a few apps, etc. Or whether I'll regret it at some point. Does anyone have any experience?

The thing is called MacBook, comes from Macintosh and not from McDonald's.

So I don't know if 256 GB is enough for files for studies and a few apps like Netflix etc.

It's a laptop, there are no Netflix apps and the like, just normal programs. Netflix was watching over the browser and that's streaming, so it doesn't need any storage space.

Does anyone have any experience?

If your information is correct, 256 GB is enough.

Oh god sorry, of course it's called a Mac! I fool, thank you:-)

It depends on whether you can expand the memory later. If you can replace the SSD in retrospect, I would say better take the smaller one first and buy the SSD cheaper elsewhere, if not, then if you can afford it, take the Macbook with the larger hard drive, 256GB are permanent but a little bit, especially if you work a lot with it, that only makes your life easier and you will surely use the device for a few more years and thus surely collect some data.

To Anni, if you know someone who can install a larger SSD, it was equipped with 350GB itself and increased to 1TB.

You can also save important things on the hard drive and if you make a copy, you still have enough space for further backups.

Have fun and good luck 🍀

As long as you don't want to use the thing as a backup hard drive, that's no problem, the 256GB is enough for all kinds of apps and the necessary data, larger storage is only needed if you start to hoard tons of photos, videos, etc.

pu

No, you can't add a bigger hard drive to the new Air, you can use the thing as it is and that's it.

It's just stupid. With a normal laptop you can get 1 tb of storage for 500 euro.

At Apple, you seem to be paying $ 2,000 for less storage than my phone has. Just sad
