My samsung TV only supports the old version of Netflix. If I get an amazon Firetv stick or something similar, do I get the newer one?

Do I get the new version of netflix with the fire tv stick even though my Samsung TV only supports the old one

De

A Fire Tv Stick is its own device so it should have the latest version. I have a Fire Tv stick myself, but I don't know if the Netflix problem is solved

But you can also install it on your mobile phone

Yes, definitely.

Or you can buy a current TV from Samsung (pay attention to the 2020 model label). I did it too, 4k of course.

Before, I only had a TV without Inet and used Chromecast for everything. Can be done but something is missing at some point. I still have Chromecast because some apps are not (yet) available in the Samsung Store: e.g. Twitch and TVNow. But that is a rarity. In addition, screen sharing works better with Chromecast than with Samsung's own. It's a real shame that Samsung TVs don't have a Chromecast internally, such as Panasonic I think. So you have to spend another 30-80 euro for a Chromecast Ultra if you need it. Luckily I found mine for 35 on classifieds which is a great price, but anyway. If Chromecast were directly in the TV, you would also have an HDMI slot more free. But I think that's one of the most important things I don't like about Samsung TVs. Well and the missing headphone connections. But that's actually easy to fix if the TV also has Bluetooth. Simply get the Bluetooth reciver transmitter on Amazon and connect it to the TV, plug in the cable from the headphones and Zack you can use cable headphones again 😁 You just have to be a little creative.

I had FireTV around 2014, at that time it was the first generation of the stick, without Alexa remote control. At that time I found the controls in the menus to be much too clumsy, and there were also very annoying problems on YouTube. So I sent it back and then just used Chromecast. But I assume that these errors have been fixed in newer generations.
