Which work will be the next big fantasy series?

Unfortunately Game of Thrones is over - at least as the fans know it. I personally hope that the spin-offs are similarly rousing - and they do not mess up the end this time. As you have probably noticed, but also new fantasy series are already in the starting blocks. For example, Amazon's Lord of the Rings or Netflix's The Witcher.

Which series do you trust to become the new Game of Thrones in the long term?

Us

I would say The Lord of the Rings.

From Avatar I have not heard anything yet (is there something to come?)

Westworld has proven that it is not a GoT successor. Actually, this is always called only in a sentence with GoT, because it has made it from HBO in the PR to an unofficial successor. But no way

The Witcher: I'm not sure. I think the series will fail because too many compare the Witcher from the PC Games with the Witcher from the series and be disappointed.

his-dark-materials: Is a bit too special for me. Will be great, but I do not think the screamer.

I do not know the Wheel of Time at all.

The GoT spin offs (or the spin off) will certainly be a hit, but I do not want to set myself for now. The departure of Martin has shown at GoT that without him the series sags in quality. So I'm unsure.

The Lord of the Rings is my belief that many fans will be waiting for more for years. If the series resembles the movie and teaches that you're in the same universe and does not look like the comparison of the very old Star Wars to Episode 1-3, then it could.

So I loved Westworld so far. The Wheel of Time is a great novel series that many believe is much more complex and extensive than Martin's Got. Incidentally, read that this synonymous with the SpinOff with advice.

As I've seen from The Witcher, I think it's going to be a pretty big show if it keeps up with Game of Thrones, which you can't say right now. Game of Thrones finally went down with the terrible end.

Un

Unfortunately, that's true.

Th

It was kind of disappointing / sad to see how the directors totally screwed up this wonderful series. The books are supposed to show another end, but I do not read anyway: /

Un

Yes, also because they did not seem to mind anymore. You would have better given the series to a competent director, who still really wants to do it well.

Vi

And The Lord of the Rings.

Vi

There's no avatar series?!

Un

Not yet but soon. Just like everything else in the list (except Westworld).

Vi

You mean by Avatar: The Lord of the Elements?

Un

Joo

Vi

What do you think which series has potential?

Un

All ^^
