Why is my computer ignoring DRM protection?

I can easily record on my PC with OBS Netflix and the like if I wanted to. I couldn't do this on my Surface and all other devices. So why is my computer ignoring DRM protection?

It's a good thing. The big companies up there earn enough anyway.

For me it was dependent on the browser. I believe that at some point screen capture was possible with Firefox.

If you have installed the Windows Media Player or if you use it there you can make settings that will then allow him to automatically get the DRM rights if necessary. At least with Win-XP / 7 / and 8.1 that was the case!
