I have a little problem, and somehow Dolby Atmos doesn't work with movies that are actually compatible.
my TV: TCL 65c815.
my soundbar: LG dsn8yg (upgraded with subwoofer and the spk8 speakers).
connected via hdmi earc to hdmi arc.
Oh and zb. Dolby Vision and 5.1 sound work quite normally.
And I watch Disney +, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, so I have a corresponding number of Dolby Atmos films to choose from. So it can't really be because of the film files.

Since the instructions available online are hardly useful, I just ask if you used the HDMI port with ARC anyway? And checked all of the menus?
Yes hdmi is connected from earc to the soundbar, to arc to the television.
and in the LG speaker app you can't set anything that contains the word Atmos.
Unfortunately, there's nothing helpful in the instructions for use.
Strangely enough, atmos works perfectly for my mother with a much cheaper soundbar, and only via an optical cable…
