I recently watched the movie Balto 1 on Netflix and am very surprised by the microphone quality. I especially liked the voice of Balto (spoken by Tobias Meister in German). I know that it has to do with the voice to a large extent, but I would like to know which microphone + mixer was used for the synchronization back then. The film was dubbed in the Berliner Synchron GmbH Wenzel Lüdecke, but I couldn't find any information about which microphone / mixer was used there in 1995. Could someone help me?
You should read that in the history of the studio.
I only know that in 1955, a few days before mine, and probably yours too, the sound quality of microphones and mixing consoles was hardly inferior to that of today, if at all. The discreetly constructed devices were just a little bigger and heavier.
Telefunken / Neumann, Siemens, Leonhard, AKG, …, were already there back then.
Ups. 1995 did not mean 1955😅. I've already researched the microphone, but unfortunately couldn't find anything
In 1995 Sennheiser microphones were most likely used. The MKH 416 is very popular because it can be used universally.
Yes it probably is. Do you have any guess as to which mixer was used?
For what?
When shooting was probably a? SQN? In the studio it could have been some branded device; they are qualitatively all at studio level.
Okay, thanks for your help für
