Good new alien movie?

Look for a movie like Battleship or Indiependenceday.

Alien lands on earth. Alien surprises military and wipes out xyz. Military has a guy with an idea and defeats the aliens.

I would like a typical film, does anyone know anything? Do you currently have Netflix, maybe even there? 'Mfg

Cloverfield, War of the Worlds u. A.

Or arrival. There, however, peaceful aliens (albeit scary) and stupid military.

Skyline is also a nice number. In Skyline 2 there's the resolution.

The movie "World Invasion: Battle for Los Angeles" pretty much meets your expectations.
