I'll tell you so much… The movie is good. He is brutal, a really emotional psycho journey. But history, of course, creates its very own DC universe here again. It can hardly be linked to the DCEU. In my opinion, that should not be attempted. I also read that Robert Pattinson has confirmed that the upcoming stand alone Batman movie will not be linked to the Joker movie. And I think that's a good thing, otherwise the continuity is simply taken too much out of context as already. So watch the movie as a good movie. A good movie that you do not necessarily have to call "Joker".
