Prometheus and Alien related?

I watched the movie prometheus a few days ago and found the story really nice and when I was looking for a second part I found the film Alien: Covenant on Netflix and then I saw that there are more films with the title Alien and when I was in I searched the internet and found out that prometheus is the prehistory. Now I have seen the alien films from the past. It is the same alien as from Alien: Covenant but somehow the old films do not match the new films that are supposed to tell the prehistory. Eg where is david?! The one who created the alien. Can someone explain to me what exactly is going on there?

Prometheus was created decades after the alien films and takes place decades before the first part. So there will never be a real connection, which is a shame to be honest. Prometheus and the successors philosophize about the nature of an (artificial) creation and are supposed to explain in passing how the alien race of the old films (the Xenomorphs) came about. The optical style created by the artist HR Giger also connects the film series and the question of how dangerous or helpful artificial intelligence can be.

The history of Alien should also show how the alien monster evolved over time and how it looked like we know it. We saw Covenant that the aliens developed through David.

It should / should be a trilogy and if there's a third part it could be that this will probably lead towards the end of the events that we know from the first alien part. The end of Covenant had already guessed that it would not end well.

After all, they were lured to the planet in the first alien film where the aliens "wait" as was the case in Covenant.

The alien film series was clearly based hereuts from the second film series on military action, and manifested itself massively up to part 4.

The military wanted an overpowering organism, but the respective crews in the individual parts of the film series were not yet aware of this until after Part 3.

Towards the middle / end of the third part, "Ripley" finally saw through this project.

Therefore the connection works

Alien: Covenant

not so misleading when it comes to the question of whether the "alien" really was a real being from a strange world.

Since 1979, however, the science of astronomy has also made huge strides, and that is why such a malicious creature as the alien could be traced back purely to human traits.

So I found "Prometheus" as a worthy conclusion to where all the evil came from and what it was all about with this strange being on the chair in the first part.

In addition, with "Prometheus" an attempt was made to explain where the eggs in episode # 1 could have come from.

Much can be explained in this way, as in the shot of "Prometheus", where something similar suddenly emerged from a starfish-like object as in the earlier films. (Metamorphosis in insects)

In conclusion, the original "Alien Trilogy" had no intention of explaining the Filne directly, but later with increasing science it was a good idea.

In 1979, due to a lack of knowledge, Alien was still an absolute shocker.
