I have an Amazon fire tv stick and everything worked well too. But then yesterday I wanted to watch Netflix and when I clicked on a movie the sound was there, but the screen was black. I thought it was probably s.Film film and have tried something different, even only sound but no picture. Then I thought that maybe it was due to Netflix, but on Amazon Prime, the screen was blue and again it was just the sound of the movie. Does anyone know what that could be and how it is back to normal?

Make sure your TV is turned on and set to the correct HDMI input.
If your Fire TV Stick is connected via an AC receiver, turn it on and set it to the correct input.
