I'll go to the hospital tomorrow and stay there for a few days. I would like to watch Netflix and Amazon Prime to pass the time. However, I don't have Wi-Fi in the hospital. So now I wanted to download several things at home. But that doesn't work on my MacBook. So I thought I would download the films and series on my phone and stream them to the laptop for a larger monitor. However, I don't get any further.
So:
Which programs can you use to stream your iPhone screen to the MacBook without using the Internet? (Gladly with cable)
Or are there simple ways to load the things onto the PC from the mentioned providers? (You can only look over the browser to my knowledge)
The post is a bit older, but it might still work:
As long as you connect your iPhone to your Mac with a Lightning cable, you can stream the iPhone or iPad in QuickTime by clicking on "File"> "New video recording". To do this, simply select the menu next to the record button and click on your iPhone or iPad
It still works.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work to play videos. As soon as you start a video, the screen goes black. Otherwise it will reflect the screen but unfortunately it is not possible to stream videos like this: /
