Does it make sense for me to buy a BluRay player?

I'm 13 years old and currently only have an old DvD player. I also have netflix. Does it make sense for me to buy a Blu-Ray pnayer? And which one would you recommend to me? I would not buy the harry potter movies and some disney movies.

Do you hate a Hd Ready or Full HD tv? So I have one, but I'm not that movie type, that's why my 3d blueray player really only gets dusty when you watch movies often and you want to watch them in HD, it definitely makes sense, but not otherwise.
