So I've had a Samsung qled 65 inch for two weeks.
Now I noticed that on Sky and Netflix, regardless of whether it is a film or a series, a bar appears at the top and bottom, making the entire picture smaller overall.
Is there a way to remove the bars? It's really a shame: /
There's no no, because these bars are standard.
Because many films and series are produced in cinema format (21: 9) and the black bars are inserted so that you can see the whole picture.
You have a device that displays the format 16: 9
Most of the films are and were shot in cinemascope for the cinema screen… U d they have the format 21; 0 (or 10)
and either you live with the black bars, or you switch to zoom or full screen, but then either something is cut on the side or the picture is compressed
Televisions have a 16: 9 screen. Most films / series are recorded in the cinema format 21: 9, which is why the bars appear on the TV. With most Samsung TVs you can adjust the aspect ratio or format, then the bars above and below are gone, but parts of the left and right side are cut off…
Remove black bars Samsung QLED?
it's your choice:
a) black bars
b) cut a part away from the picture
c) Stretch / compress image unnaturally
d) only available in Sci-Fi (that would adapt the screen to the picture ^^)
Check the settings, decide which ones bother you the least
