A lot of horror films are kind of boring. Have such a dark style, evil forces, a lot of boredom and a lot of jumpscares and above all many horror films are also badly rated.
The other good ones I've seen are: Der Schacht, Still, Don't Breathe, The Purge Anarchy, #amLeben, Get Out
Look for House of Wax. It's a good and exciting film. Saw him the night before last.

Now I suggest "The Jane Doe Autopsy"… And if the reviews are bad, you probably won't look at it at all because you're looking at the opinions of others instead of forming your own.
I suggest you old horror films like the Vincent Price films… Are they too old for you, huh? There are many, like "Until the Blood Freezes", "The House on the Haunted Hill" or "House of Wax", which are beyond any trash.
For trash I can recommend Lucio Fulci.
And for a good horror film that is probably much too profane for you… "The Seven Black Notes" by Truffaut.
