Netflix Dark Elizabeth Charlotte's mother?

I finished the series Dark a few hours ago. I understood everything except how Elizabeth could be Charlotte's mother. Can someone explain that to me thoroughly?

This is a so-called bootstrap paradox.

Sorry, if I mess up something from the series, but in principle it should fit:

This means that something does not have to have an origin, but arises from itself. In this case, Elisabeth travels back in time and testifies with Noah of her own mother, which later testifies Elisabeth, so that they can travel back in time and father their own mother… And so on and so forth. Of course, that makes no sense in our logic and is often used as an argument to prove that time travel can't exist.

Another bootstrap paradox would be that the watchmaker's book has no real author.

Here, they probably can explain it better than I 😉
