I have a good friend who lives in Taiwan and I would love to send him a Netflix voucher (for 1 month of Netflix) from Germany.
My question: If I buy a digital voucher here in Germany, can it also be redeemed in Taiwan? Unfortunately I haven't found a specific help page or the Taiwanese page for such vouchers. Do you have an idea? Or should I just send him money so that he can buy it himself (I would prefer the former). Thank you in advance and have a nice time before Christmas!

No, that doesn't work. It has to be the same currency. You can't buy one in euro here and redeem it in its currency.
In theory only: what if I bought the card on a Taiwanese site or Taiwanese eBay? Wouldn't it be the same currency then?
