PS4 Slim on native 4K TV?

Does the PS4 Slim dominate 4K HDR at 60Hz? I mean the apps like Netflix and Co.

I switch from an Xbox One S and could output the picture (menu, Netflix etc.) in 4K HDR and 60Hz.

Respectively. If a game HDR supports in Full HD but the image from the TV (Sony 4K TV with HDR support) is upscaled, the HDR is still preserved or?

'M Something over there since I have not even dealt with the Sony consoles.

On the function of HDR, the resolution has no effect, which is in any case.

After a short research, the PS4 Slim seems to be really limited to 1080p, even with streaming apps. Upscaling will be done by the TV.

Thanks a lot! Unfortunately I did not find any detailed information on the internet. Am then thinking of canceling my order. : - /

But have also found articles, after which the PS4 can spend (theoretical) 4K. https://www.giga.de/...instellen/

But Netflix certainly does not seem to run, and other apps would have to look it up.

I also found something here

Now I'm very insecure…

A buddy of mine has a PS4 Slim - he's really desperate because she does not have a 4K feature like my One S. He even paid 300 euro for the console, which only has 500GB of memory - I paid for my One S 200 and is a 2TB variant 😂

Finally, the volume stimulates him to animal - my console: 0 noise you can hardly hear her, and she stands barely 1 meter away from me. His PS4 Slim is at the other end of his room and is as powerful as a fighter jet 🤣

Why is the PS4 so loud? Even with another friend who once had a PS4 Pro, felt really kidding. The result with him was the change to Xbox One X.

But ultimately your decision is which console you want to have.

What exactly do you mean with 4K features? Have found that at least Netflix in 4k unsupported (see the links below). Actually, I was also happy with the Xbox One S. But when the 8 days after the warranty ended I suddenly died and I decided not to throw any more money in my throat. Looks very much like planned obsolescence.

The 4K BluRay player of the Xbox One S was anyway the only reason why I bought it at that time because I'm playing anyway only on the PC.

I also read that, but it's very clear that Netflix 4K requires a PS4 Pro.

Hmm… My Xbox One S has been out of warranty for almost a year and runs like it was just yesterday off the line. - With "4K features" I generally mean the 4K features, but the real 4K is only available for video apps like netflix and 4K blurrays. In games the scaling is used. All in all, you can look at the Xbox One S so that the PS4 Slim is not the direct competitor, but the PS4 Pro. (sure, the PS4 Pro is better, but sounds like a fighter jet)

Oh, yes, that's obvious. The console would only occasionally be used on the couch for me anyway. But the PS4 Slim does not even play videos of Netflix and Co in 4k is quite strange, since technically this would be able to do so. The PS4 Slim has the computing power her nose a bit ahead of the Xbox One S. I'm in any case immensely disappointed with Microsoft because the console has given up so quickly after the end of the guarantee the spirit.

ps. Had written above that supports the PS4 Netflix in 4k, but that is synonymous only for the ps4 pro.

Po

No thing. Do not take it bad, maybe you just were not lucky, and the console just happened to break. As I said: I have an Old Slim without warranty and a buddy even has a Day One Xbox One - Perfect!

Give MS another chance, but if you want so much a PS4, I will not stop you either.

Sure, there are synonymous Microsoft consoles that work perfectly and I'm guaranteed no fanboy or similar. However, at that time already row Xbox 360 consoles have died (even within the warranty, Ring of Death) and that leaves me very doubt on Microsoft's competence, technically mature to build consoles. Especially since the sudden Xbox One (S) death is not an isolated case. I have defended the Xbox always and just for me as a multimedia center, she was really great. But when it comes to repair you really have to give Sony a point here: just by the official support to change the system hard drive is schonmal much user-friendly, if said hard drive is broken.

Of course it may be that I just was not lucky.

But the function of a technical device should have nothing to do with luck.
