To remove series or Movies from View, you must delete them from the title history.

Under "My Profile" there's the option "https://www.netflix.com/viewingactivity", where you can individually remove things.

Erase goes, as already mentioned here. But what you should know is that it takes at least 24 hours until the title really disappears. Therefore, take care and caution with the title selection.
