Hi
I would like to download stuff from Netflix on TV. The question is is that even possible?
Clear.
Buy a VHS recorder and simply record the films on a VHS cassette.
So then just press the record button. Easy!
Is also possible with a hard drive with which you can watch TV
Ne you have to buy a VHS recorder. Otherwise it won't work, I think.
Ok, it's a shame thanks anyway
With pleasure.
You can get very good and cheap VHS recorders and cassettes on Ebay classifieds!
No. Netflix is an HDCP protected website / app. Recordings are therefore not possible.
VHS is ultra-modern retro technology and bypasses such barriers with ease.
Just stupid that Netflix runs on the TV and is not fed in via Scart / Cinch / HDMI, so no way to intercept the picture.
VHS recorders only work because the signal is looped through. Without a signal that goes in, you have nothing to record.
Fakenews!
I've already saved dozens of Netflix series and movies on VHS!
This is not possible on TV, as Netflix explains in the FAQ

And no, you can't bypass copy protection with a VHS recorder.
