4K TV. TV station and television looks disastrous?

We bought a 4K, 65-inch device and were quite impressed when we watched 4K videos on YouTube via YouTube earlier. Then we looked at the TV program and were a little shocked how awful a picture on a 700 euro device can look like. Why does normal TV look so horrible? And above all, what can I do about it? Do I have to buy the HD channels or can I return the device?

Netflix and Co. Look so good, but with The Voice you can't even recognize people in the audience. What's that supposed to mean?

Well, depending on where and how you bought it, there should be no guarantee, but mostly there are settings that are missing, no ned knows which one otherwise I would say it.

This is more or less normal. Even on my high-quality 49 "4K TV, to which I switched from a 32" FullHD TV a few years ago, SDTV looks pretty borderline.

Even so, I would never spend a penny extra on advertising and poor quality content in HD.

It is actually a downgrade in this regard, as the visible image quality actually deteriorates with the larger diagonal and higher resolution of the screen. Try ZDF or another program that can be received free of charge in HD to see the contrast.

I would never do it and I advise everyone against it, because you get these rip-offs m.M.n. Shouldn't support it, but maybe you'd just have to make around 70 euro a year for HDTV.

This is also and above all due to the poor upscaling processor. A good cable or satellite recorder as a player would help.

The size of the SD picture will be terrible on any television, look at the HD channels of the public broadcasters, if the picture is good then you will probably not get around an HD + subscription. The public broadcast in 720p via satellite, the private ones in 1080i there the picture would be better again.

What experiences have you had with such upcalers? Or. What would it cost and what could you recommend?

So directly from SD to 4k, but also from HD to 4k, I have only seen it once, and that was not so satisfactory. It was the mediareciver MR400 from T-Com because the remedy was that we set the output of the device to Full HD and let the TV do the rest (a better device)

otherwise i'm very satisfied with the results that the recivers from tecnnisat have delivered. So far I only know them in full hd. So in case of doubt you would have to try it out.
