I have registered about 10 days ago at a page to watch a movie, this is free for 5 days and then, however, for 300-400 euro per year usable. I registered with a wrong email and then logged out again because I spontaneously went to friends. Before that, I received a reminder that I was being told to pay, or that they would otherwise involve a lawyer, if I signed up with false data, they would find me through the ip address. Out of desperation, I then logged off. I have no idea how the page is called because it was not a very well-known page like Netflix or so and since it was a fake email I do not know it anymore and now I do not know what to do. What can happen? I ask for advice! I have not even used this page, so I have not looked at it or confirmed this premium subscription.
Nothing comes up. The IP address does not help them much, they would first have to obtain a court order, so they can get out the user behind the IP at the provider. And then they would have to complain about non-compliance with a contract that does not exist.
They just want to scare you, so you're afraid to get involved in this contract. Just do not sign up anymore. And if you want to be careful in the future, then you take the Torbrowser, then you can hardly be spied.
Thank you for your answer, I'm so reassured.
