Why can't I find Brooklyn 99 over VPN on Netflix US?

I would like to watch the newer seasons of Brooklyn Nine Nine that are not yet available on Netflix Germany. My VPN definitely works with Netflix, so I can watch other series that don't otherwise exist in Germany (The Office, The Good Place etc.). Brooklyn 99 can't be found on Netflix USA / Canada / UK via the search bar or otherwise. Does anyone have any idea why that is?

Brooklyn 99 and the US are not on Netflix, but on TBS and TruTV.
