What I've been wondering for quite a while is why so many animated series that used to run on Super RTL and Nick, like Teenage Robot, Kappa Mikey, etc. Will not be released on DVD or at least on a streaming site like Netflix or Amazon Prime? Alright, to some of those shows like Jimmy Neutron, Rocko's Modern Life, etc. Were already released on DVD and part of those series like Danny Phantom or Disney's Big Break can be bought on Amazon Prime. But why are so many series missing and why are not they released on DVD? On the Internet side of Nickelodeon is that she has no legal influence on the production of DVDs. Why is that so and what must happen so that one of these series will also be released on DVD.

Who will buy a Kappa Mikey DVD? It's not worth it, so it's not going to be done.

That depends on the respective copyright holder.

Film titles and series are traded like other products.

The problem is, there's no way to look at this series in a legal way. The series does not exist on DVD. No (legal) streaming site offers the series. Not even on TV is the series (already for over 10 years).

But the series comes from Nickelode and ran in this country on the same station. Nickelodeon would not have to be the actual owner of the series

(Already for over 10 years)

there you have your answer!

This is old cheese nobody wants to offer because it is not worth it

Since there's currently the "trend" that everyone wants to make their own streaming service, e.g. Even Disney, it may be that there in the future, the old stuff there verwurstet because the company itself, so to speak, almost nothing costs, because then you can take everything that is worthwhile elsewhere purely to pretend to be the largest possible offer. Maybe there's synonymous Nickelodeon go into the streaming and then just synonymous with the old stuff with offer, it costs almost nothing, because it already exists anyway and they themselves have the rights

That annoys me too. Not only for Nick and Super RTL series, but also for KIKA and RTL 2 - Animation.

Luckily, there are DVD publishers like PIDAX, which specialize in old series and repeatedly release such series.

And there's also the station RiC, which also shows a lot of former KIKA and Super RTL series.
