Recently fiber optic was laid in our village.
however, for some reason only my brother's house was connected to it.
Tomorrow the connection will finally be made so that we can get the service we have booked.
the router is still with us but will be moved to the front tomorrow.

the router itself only sends out a weak signal field, so that I only have one bar at a distance of 7 meters
Fortunately, when building the new house, we installed a connector that connects both houses.
I now wanted to move an access point. So that we have a better signal with my parents on the upper and middle floors.
But my parents sleep in the basement and watch Netflix there in the evening.
Would it still be possible to connect a repeater to the Access Point so that my parents would also have Wi-Fi in the basement?
I would just buy a slightly more expensive router, but it would fill the whole house
