I have an older Samsung 3D SmartTV, the "D" series. This has only a 1-core CPU.
Since you can forget all the multimedia functions and operation by remote control is horrible.
That's why I bought an Amazon FireTV (1st generation).
By Lan cable it goes into the home network and via fiber (TOS link) to my older 6.1 AV Receive (still without HDMI).
This works flawlessly.
However, I do not have Netflix. I mainly use the media player "Kodi".
