I went through the first season of Tokyo Ghoul on Netflix and wanted to ask if I could / should skip the second season (Tokyo Ghoul: Root A) because I heard that there were many filler episodes. That's why I want to spare myself the filler episodes but on the other hand I don't want to miss a manga story that was (possibly) implemented in the anime.
So in summary: if I skip "Tokyo Ghoul: Root A" and start with "Tokyo Ghoul: Re", would I miss something?
(+ do you have anime recommendations that run on Netflix, but are based on the genre "Drama & Action"?)
You would not understand why the new main character has a new name
what happens to his best friend because he's gone in Tokyo ghoul Re etc. Don't want too much spoilers
but everyone sees it differently, I watched all 3 seasons and don't regret it
I would advise you to watch season 2. Otherwise you can't quite keep up and I didn't really think season 2 was bad.
