Since I'm on vacation, I would like to start watching anime. Yes, I have never seen one and I only know Naruto or one piece of stories.

Could you tell me something about anime? Why is it so popular? Why you started watching anime and just tell a little bit about yourself (:

Now to my real question: could you recommend me animes that "beginners" and I could watch? Maybe there's one on Netflix?
I like romance, thriller, drama etc.

and maybe anime that everyone has to see that are really good.

I watched my first anime because I thought it sounded very interesting. The anime was Death Note and grabbed me from the first episode. It's more of a thriller, but with fantasy. It's about the Death Note, a special book where you can write people's names, and they die. The intelligent student Light Yagami then finds such a book, with whom he will soon begin a plan. But the police want to prevent his plan, and then he orders the master defensive L, and so an epic "duel of thoughts" arises between the two…

But if you're more of a comedy fan now, I'd rather recommend Assasination Classrom. This is an action comedy in which a class gets an invincible monster as a teacher and now has a year to kill it (I know it sounds like a bug, but it's really awesome). Or if you like more action then Attack on Titan, or Naruto and One Piece. Unfortunately, I can't recommend so much for romantic things, but there are already some lists on YouTube. The anime mentioned above are also available on Netflix.

Have fun with the anime you choose.

Many thanks. I'm looking at death note right now. Short question: are you watching the anime on German dubbing? I usually always prefer the originals.

Ho

I don't understand why many suggest vivo. It's not even a streaming site.

I would recommend Steins; Gate to you. This is a good romance anime that makes you think a lot and has a depressing mood.

Steins; you should also have seen Gate 0. This is an alternate story, and also explains something about Okabe's personality, which, if I remember correctly, is not explained in Steins; Gate.

But you have to watch a couple of episodes, because it is a bit incomprehensible at the beginning, and boring for some.

Others would be Death Note, and Attack on Titan (if you don't mind a little more brutal anime.). Akame ga kill would also be an option.

As such, I would recommend Hunter X Hunter (2011) as well, but you will have a hard time finding all the episodes since Netflix is the only provider that only offers 50 of 148 episodes, otherwise you will only be able to find them legally via volumes, or if ProsiebenMAXX broadcasts it again.

I'm looking at that at episode 17 I find it kind of sad because of the memory…

So I think I just started because blue exorcist was on EMP and I just ordered it, and I thought it was good, yes. And a good friend of mine also watched anime at that time, in a free hour I saw the elf song with her. Maybe the two events were reversed and I first saw Elf song with the girlfriend and then blue exorcist? I can't remember the details.

Why do I like her? Well, as with all other series, there are all sorts of genres and stories. And the selection of stories with fantasy elements is particularly large, because it doesn't cost the producer any more, e.g. Draw a monster. For series with actors that would cost an incredible amount of money or the special effects would look cheap in the end. So the producers have more leeway, I would say.

What I also rate positively is that a episode usually only lasts about 25 minutes and not almost an hour like in other series. So it's better to do in between

And here are some anime that I liked and that is on Netflix. I also try to name a few romance titles because you indicated that (there's no such thing as an anime for beginners)

I write the genre as you can find it on anisearch

Attack on Titan (Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Horror, mystery, excessive violence. Season 1 is on Netflix, but the rest is not. It can be found on other streaming providers / Anime on demand. The anime is at really popular with the masses, he has top action scenes, a great soundtrack and good characters. It's worth it at least to have a look)

Erased (thriller, everyday life, drama, crime, mystery. It's about a man who makes a leap in his childhood and wants to change the fate of a classmate there)

Violet Evergarden (drama, everyday life, psychodrama, romance. The anime is beautifully drawn and is really sad in the first place)

Noragami (action, adventure, fantasy, comedy, romance. It's really entertaining and I love the main character)

Haikyuu (drama, ganbatte, comedy, sport)

Ano hana (drama, everyday life, romance, comedy)
