Bose soundbar not working on Netflix and Amazon?

I bought a new TV (Samsung GQ65Q60T). I connected this to the soundbar (Bose Gs Series III) via HDMI and the receiver is connected to the TV via HDMI and to the soundbar. Normal TV works fine, only with Netflix I have no sound, only the picture. The sound from the TV program continues when I open Netflix or Amazon Prime. Can someone help me?

It's because Netflix and Amazon Prime use a different player.

Your initial situation is still a little unclear to me.

Your TV receiver is connected to the television via HDMI and connected to your soundbar via AUX / optical (?). Your soundbar is connected to the television via HDMI.

Your TV program comes from your receiver. The picture is transmitted to the television via HDMI. The sound is transmitted to the soundbar via a separate connection.

However, Netflix and Amazon Prime are played directly on the television. At first your sound system is set to the wrong input.

The television can output sound via the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) via a special HDMI port. Make sure the soundbar is plugged into this port. The television may have to be set so that the sound is also output from it.

The other end of the sound system should be connected where there's also a sound input, i.e. Not the HDMI out for looping through. The sound system should also be switched to this input.

Now the sound from Netflix, Prime Video and the like should be played on your soundbar. The same applies to all other SmartTV functions and other devices that are connected to the television.

If that works so far, you can save yourself the second cable from the receiver. The receiver then sends the audio signal to the television, which forwards the audio to the soundbar via HDMI. Switching on the soundbar is then no longer necessary.

I have now connected the HDMI from the soundbar to the HDMI in 2 (earc) and the receiver to the HDMI1. The receiver is still connected to the soundbar via AUX.

Now I don't really know what you mean by the HDMI out. Unfortunately, I can't upload a picture of the soundbar here. I thank you for your answer and ask for further help.

Here is a picture of the soundbar:

I thought that the soundbar has several inputs (sound + picture) and one that only outputs picture. It looks like there's only one HDMI output on your soundbar, if e.g. Picture comes over chinch. The HDMI connection for sound to the soundbar is therefore useless.

You can and must connect your television to the soundbar differently.

Since your television does not have a classic jack connection, the way falls. It remains the optical variant. The television and the soundbar support this standard.

Here is an example cable: https://www.amazon.de/...B004YEEPNQ

The connection on the left-hand side of the soundbar is marked "Optical". He looks the same on TV.

The cable replaces the HDMI as an audio cable between the television and receiver. Everything else stays the same.

I thank you. I'll write another comment in a few days to see if it worked.
