A year ago or so, my parents packed my smoke detector into the room and it hangs on the ceiling since then. Have recently brought me a vape and would like to use it while gambling or Netflix.
Does he even react to the steam of a vape? Or. How can I find out what kind of smoke detector it is (optical, etc.). And if my smoke detector would react to it, I could not mask it like this or put a latex glove over it (did I ever read where) if I like to vape?
And I think he would react to hookah as well as tilting.
You can tap it off. I do not know what you have for one, but many of you can just turn it off and remove the battery on the back or put it in another room.
Most smoke detectors work with a photocell. But that requires a lot of smoke / steam. If you do not blow the steam directly into the smoke detector, it will not trigger.
What exactly is meant by a "vape"? A kind of herbal vaporizer? If so, the smoke detector will not respond. Unless you are just below it and blow in the steam directly. But even I have never done that.
If it's one of those e-shishas / cigarettes then unfortunately I do not know that.
