Why is Bridgerton so popular?

Why is the new Netflix series so successful?

I don't like them and a lot of my friends don't like them either 🤷🏼♀️

Probably a bit of everything. Can't understand the hype. Didn't find the series bad, but not good either. At least not so good that it deserves such a hype.

It's just gossip girl with cool clothes and sex.

I like to know it, too. I watched the first episode, but it didn't grab me at all, so I didn't watch any more. A series has to convince me from episode 1 if I'm supposed to watch it to the end and that was not the case with Bridgerton.
