For some weeks now I already have the problem. The audio driver does not work for my ASUS Eeebook Netbook X205TA even though I have downloaded and installed it from the ASUS website. During the installation there were no problems or error messages. But when I see the audio icon in the Windows bar there's a red cross: "There's no audio output device installed And even when plugging in headphones, I see in the Device Manager no installed driver Have already tried everything possible, such as Countless restarts, the Update drivers, use an older version, or upgrade Windows have Windoof 10 with 32bit would be very happy about any help, really seems to be a tough issue and would like to see Netflix again with sound…

I had a similar problem with my Lenovo G710 too.
Had a few weeks ago hard drive problems and renewed.
Recovery of all data was secured without any problems.
The only thing that did not work was sound output with message sound driver missing.
Rather by accident, I'm in a forum on it encountered that a Microsoft driver and the manufacturer's driver of the computer must be installed and active.

Why does the audio driver not work

then had this driver installed first and then ran the Lenovo driver and sound output works again

Uninstall times on the Device Manager the current driver for your audio device and then search online about the right driver… In 98% of cases, you get the right driver

As I said I have the correct audio driver already installed on Asus for Windows 10 32bit. It does not work anyway.

Have now installed the driver IDT High Definition Audio Codec https://softfamous.com/idt-high-definition-audio-codec/download/ For me, however, everything is as before. No installed drivers are displayed in Device Manager: /
