Can my school see my PC data?

I'm logged on to a profile on my PC with the school email address and wanted to know whether when I look at yt, log in to instagram or something google my school can see, even if I deleted my history?

If so, how can you change that, because of course I don't want you to know which yt videos I watch, which series I'm looking for on netflix, what I shop online or which embarrassing things I googled or have my access data to social media platforms can you help me somehow? LG

va

For security reasons, the school's server administrators have the opportunity to see what you are doing. With us it is even the case that during the lesson, the teacher on the main computer can see all activities directly, which we click.

ab

So can they also access my profiles?

ce

Of course the school can't do that. Just because you have logged in somewhere with your school email address does not mean that all data from the device will be sent to the school immediately xD

It could be a little different for school equipment, but not on personal devices.

ab

But what if that is my google school profile?

va

Definitely yes and also if you delete your history it will only be deleted on the account. You can keep track of where you've been over the network.

ce

Your google school profile? What should it be? Your school profile that you use to log into Google? You have to explain that to me now: /

ab

Huh can they then also purely in my insta profile

va

It is your own PC, so not after all. They can't keep track of where you've been, but they can access your email to reset your password in an emergency.

ab

So on google you always have a circle with your profile in the top right corner and I'm registered with the school email, do you know what I mean?

Br

A person with admin rights can see everything on the computer that someone has done there. That is the point of an admin.

As a user, you usually do not have admin rights and therefore can't delete this data.

It's just a bit stupid if you google embarrassing things first and only then think about them ;-)

va

When you have linked your Insta with the email. You could forget your password and change the password with the email.

ab

Achso but if I have registered with my private then not?

ce

Hm, does the school know about this account that, if you take it seriously, you registered on the school's e-mail address? If the school itself has access to this school email address, then they will also have access (with the password) to the Google account.

But another question: Why do you register with the school email address on Google?

va

Only if your Instagram was created with this email, for example.

ab

Thank you, but i can delete data by deleting the history right? - and if not, do you have a tip how you can't see it?

va

Maybe his parents won't allow him to email him.

ab

Okay thanks.

ce

But nonetheless, you don't have to register with your school email address on Google xD

ab

No, we should do that because of the google classroom - homeschooling.

va

Right. XD

ce

Ah understand. Then the school will have access to the Google Account either by knowing the password or by clicking on Forgot Password.

If your other accounts (like Instagram) are linked to the Google account of your school email and you don't need a password to log in to Insta with the school Google account, then they can do that too.

Or you can always just forget your password, then you can reset all accounts associated with this email address or enter a new password for them.

Br

Is that a school computer or your computer?

If you can clear the history that's a start, but not a solution. You can then no longer see the history under Windows, but when you log in to Googel, everything is there again.

ab

Okay thanks, the profiles are with my private mail but i believe that the password is saved, how do you change that? And do you know how to delete the history for the admin?

ab

This is my private one. What do you mean when you log back in, and how can you solve the problem?

ce

So first of all, if the accounts are not directly linked to the school Google account, then the school can't access them either.

Second, the history can only be cleared for the account. However, it could be possible that the administrators at your school, who issue all Google accounts to the students, monitor or check. So you may see the history even if you've deleted it.

But they only have access to the accounts that you have linked to the Google account or that you have created with the school email address.

ab

And would they also see that if you googled something in incognito mode?

ab

Thank you very much d. H. You see the course wsl. Not - if you can change that or is there no possibility?

ce

I doubt your students use such monitoring methods. If so, there's actually nothing you can do about it, except to create your own Google account and not do anything with the school Google account, except for school work.

ab

Okay, thank you very much.

ce

My pleasure

Br

Again: An admin can do everything and he can see everything. The question is therefore rather whether he is actually making the effort. But you also have to be clear that these admin rights make sense.

But you should take the advertising on television more seriously: Googel takes care of your data security (haha). Of course you can view and delete your data (after registration). But first of all, that means that everything (!) Was saved first.
