You can install Netflix, Amazon-Video, YouTube as an app on AppleTV.
I also use the Apple TV with my other Apple products at home and want to use everything from one device.
But if you only use Apple Tv for Netflix, Youtube and Amazon Prime, it's a waste of money.
No, I still have a MacBook and iPhone with which I can then stream to the TV via Apple TV 👍🏻
You can do that without apple tv

I do it on my Macbook with airplay to stream on my TV
My TV is no longer the latest, so I prefer Apple TV, which I think is better to use.
