Apple users rather religious (Christian) conservative set?

Greetings to all,

If one thinks of Apple, most probably falls as the first of the "hippie" Steve Jobs, which (known) joined the Budhismus and anyway as a more liberal enterprise, while e. Microsoft or Samsung were more viewed / perceived as conservative companies.

Meanwhile, however, I see something as an "image change". Irrespective of the financial situation, I usually see the younger, more creative and liberal-minded people in my environment (although now priced almost at the level of Apple) with the premium products of about Samsung or Microsoft (not Windows in the explicit, but their own Computers, such as the Surface Book), while older and more conservative young people, mostly Apple products. Even the Catholic pastor in my church controls his sermon (including slideshow) from a MacBook.

Another indication for me is that Apple plans for its new streaming service (unlike Netflix or Amazon) to renounce sex and violence scenes as far as possible.

What is your opinion?

Wh

Even if I do not completely share your opinion.

Apple started as revolutionary company. That attracts young modern people.

Samsung, for example, was founded in the first half of the 20th century as a food transport company.

Nowadays Apple has a big name and gild quality as a brand. In the eyes of conservatives, this is probably more respected than, say, products from Asia.

To the younger, more creative people with a Surface (Book):

The Surface is for many students the perfect mix of tablet fues taking notes and a laptop. An ipad and a macbook (the station wagon is also available) usually go a bit more into the money.

Edit: Oh, I myself would call myself an atheist and do not use any Apple products anymore, as they barely have any offers in the price regions where I'm traveling.

I've heard nothing about this streaming service so I can't comment on that.

Tu

I'm not Applefan, atheist, more green-conservative, otherwise quite liberal. Apple has a too bad price / performance ratio and I do not like the structure. There's too much restriction and too much compulsion and for purely economic reasons.
It starts with the hardware.

Fa

I use an iPhone and I'm not a believer.

Apple just tries to avoid conflicts in my opinion. Apple does not want to portray as a youth unfriendly, or scare believers, but they have too much money.

Apple stands for quality. This has nothing to do with religion.

ve

Apple is like a religion.

In fact, in my church, we mainly use Apple products. But that is probably also due to the responsible person, which is more Apple-affine. Since these also run with Microsoft software (Word, Excel etc), this is not a big problem for newcomers. And the quality is just better (in any case the common opinion). Thus, the higher purchase price is worthwhile.

In addition, I live in Switzerland, where Apple products are relatively cheap.

Dr

Thanks for your answer.

PS: A high on your francs ^^

Br

My pleasure.

Haha, yes, the last exchange rate I have unfortunately used too late to change to Euro ;-)
