Why is Ash a little boy again in season 23 in Pokémon?

I looked through the sun and moon on Netflix, and then researched how it looks with the seasons, etc. And then I noticed that Ash in season 23 "Pokemon Travel" is a little boy again, as if he had forgotten everything and had a new life.

Can someone help me there?

Wh

Ash has been in a coma since his first encounter with Pikachu from Thunderstorm.

Since then he has been living through the same and same dream again and again in different colors and logically can't remember the previous dreams.

Or it is an anime that is there to market the new Pokemon to similarly old kids and it would be counterproductive to let them age or use their acquired knowledge. Then the child who sees the Sun and Moon Pokemon for the first time can't come into contact with the franchise so well.

Since then he has lived through the same and the same dream over and over again in different colors and logically can't remember the previous dreams.

Awesome!

The second answer would also make sense, but it would really not be honorable to repeat the story of Ash over and over again just because of new children's fans.

But if Ash is in a coma all the time, are there Pokémon?

Ra

This answer is purely hypothetical and never proven, but I agree with it!

Wh

Of course there are Pokemon, otherwise Pikachu couldn't have given him a thunderbolt and I wouldn't be a Pokemon master.

Why are Bart and Lisa Simpson still little kids and Maggie still a baby? The series has even more years under its belt.

pa

Exclusively because of the money.

Children should be able to identify with Ash. The fans decrease with increasing age because the interests change, so it is more lucrative to pick up the same age group for this series. So the new children, adolescents and adult fans still buy the constant supply of merchandise. For the same reason, Pikachu will never develop, Raichu makes a lot less sales because the cuteness factor is missing and all girls are lost. Eevee & Pikachu merchandise is doing extremely well with the female target group

He does very well.

Ash doesn't usually talk about the people he has met in the regions before or what he has achieved there.

The series begins with the plot from the very first episode, in which Ash picks Pikachu, but memories of his experiences keep popping up in the episodes.

For example, he mentions in the episode about Ho-Oh that he has already seen this one at the beginning of his journey.

In another episode, he takes part in a tournament in Kalos and meets Connie, whom he also remembers, just as she and her grandfather remember him.

In general, this happens a lot in the anime.

In the Advanced series (Hoenn), for example, Misty appears, which Ash and Brock also remember.

In Sinnoh, Maike shows up around the same time in Blizzach.

And Lucia appears in Einall together with Cynthia in the last arc.

During the Alola series, the class takes a trip to Kanto and fights against Misty and Brock, who still remember Ash and their travels.

In the series, however, it is always the case that the plot has a great focus on current events and is not pumped full of Ash's memories. Nonetheless, opportunities are used to bring these things back if it is useful to the story.

By the way, in the original there's at least one recap sequence for almost every Pokemon series, in which practically all important moments in the region are shown again.

I mean, not a single one of them was dubbed for the west. Neither for the US market nor for the European. But that is in the interest of the company that was responsible for the synchronization (at least back then). I mean, that was 4Kids back then! But I don't know whether they still do that today.
