Netflix picture in picture Android no longer works?

Until recently (1/2 days) I could still use the picture in picture function of Netflix and Amazon Prime without any problems by simply pressing the "Home Button". But now the series stops at once and the picture in picture function does not start… Why is that?

I just had the same problem. I tried to restart my cell phone, it worked.
