I think Stranger Things is great, as well as Glitch, Marianne. Yes well xD now it's getting close, you will hardly like my favorite series xD
Otherwise, there are some more anime series like Made in Abyss
I do not watch anything like that. As I said, also something quite modern, like something like Another Life (which was suggested below, but do not know exactly how that is but action & trailer looks good)
