Can I start Family Guy on Season 12 because the first ones aren't on Netflix?

So I've never seen Family Guy before, but can I still start from season 12 without me not understanding something or that it is not fun?

It's all independent of each other. You can basically start where you want, but personally you should always start at the beginning and not somewhere in the middle.

Each episode has a different plot, you can go back with the very last episode and would understand everything
